Sample Public Safety Projects

Vulnerability Audit, Planning & Procurement, Implementation Management.
For a remotely located, mid-size police department, performed a countywide vulnerability audit of systems, networks and operations. Developed a strategy and architecture plan for the future state of these systems, networks and operations. Assisted in the selection and implementation of new design. These included plans for: computer-aided dispatch, records management, mobile reporting and a mobile data network covering over 1000 square miles. A detailed assessment was performed and recommendations provided, including those for IT support staffing. Assisted in the system selection and subsequent audit and review of the vendor implementation. We are currently assisting with vendor oversight and project management.

Strategic Technology Plan.
Developed a 15 Year Public Safety IT Strategic Plan for a large, densely populated county. The study involved a review of the existing Dispatch, Records and Jail systems, as well as all supporting network infrastructure. Created a systems and network architecture blueprint, including estimated costs and options. Identified appropriate technologies and the replacement sequence for the associated technologies, including staff support costs.

Strategic Technology Plan, Planning & Procurement.
Performed detailed technical analysis and prepared a 5 Year Strategic Plan for a County with a population over 1,000,000. Codified requirements matrix. Developed a systems integrator RFP, and assisted in vendor evaluations and contract negotiations.
